so we hired one of the most important elements to our wedding - our photographer. and who did we pick?
the blonde photographer - ms. jaime windon!
and lemme tell you folks... she's a friggin God-send. and i will stick to that statement even though she hasn't taken photos for us yet! why so much confidence lian? well let me give you the rundown...
before i met her, mr. fiance did. they combined forces at another wedding and from what i have heard... were a complete hit! mr. fiance hadn't felt such chemistry with a photog till he met jaime. and with all the weddings mr. fiance has done over the years... that's a BIG DEAL! he came home from that wedding beaming with praises for jaime- so much so, that i couldn't wait to meet her myself!
fast forward a week or few and we meet up with jaime in chinatown DC. a little late cause of the horrendous traffic, we find jaime patiently waiting for us upstairs at starschmucks-- i'll save my starschmucks story for another time--it's quite interesting. as we're approaching her, she's ALL smiles. and when i mean ALL smiles... i mean ALL SMILES! have you EVER met someone for the first time and you expected them to greet you with an open heart and mind and they just totally didn't? i have... too many times to count. but not with jaime. jaime was little miss sunshine wrapped in smiles and giggles and so much enthusiasm for life and photography, you couldn't help but feel so giddy with happiness that you feel like you'd explode and exude infinite rays of sunshine! WHOA! yeah... that's jaime.
the whole 20-30 minutes we spent with her were THAT amazing! it's been a LONG while since i've been so excited about meeting someone. she made me feel so comfortable and already so loved that after meeting with her, i didn't want to meet with any other photog. and throughout the meeting, it was like she was reading my mind. she envisioned my style without even me saying a single thing! how extremely creepy-wonderful is that?
after our awesome meeting, we walked down the street with her and chatted up some more. i swear, if anyone else on the street looked at us three, they'd think we were long-time friends! is jaime really that awesome? well, uh, YEAH! but just y'all wait... wait till you see her, her work, and her friggin awesome personality come wedding day! all your "troubles [will] seem so far away!" |
